PARKLAND CHARMER

Inspired by the adjacent parklands, Drew House is a calm oasis set within a beautifully landscaped garden setting. Our clients were committed to extending their existing home, and, despite the multiple challenges along the way (including a global pandemic and subsequent lockdowns and supply issues), we constantly reassured them that their decision to extend versus to bulldoze the original property would be worth the extra effort. This meant that we needed to navigate extensive product delays and logistics in order to complete the house within its timeframe whilst still maintaining our high standard of construction. The result is a house that has both character and contemporary charm with a seamless blend of the existing and modern elements.

We underscored the home’s subtle and tactile palette with the use of handmade bricks in the construction of the “brick box” which became a primary feature and by laying beautiful timber flooring throughout. Custom lighting solutions and integrated joinery add a bespoke element to this home.
